I am a college student and I am very tight on money. Every other desk I found was either way too expensive or ridiculously flimsy. This desk is a very nice compromise. It's SO easy to put together and doesn't take long at all. Slightly shaky, but not distractingly so. Don't expect to store a lot of stuff on it. I have my laptop, alarm clock, desk lamp, and a cup with pens and pencils on mine and still have enough room to have a book and notebook on it. But you won't be able to fit a printer, or shelf system or anything like that on it comfortably. It is obviously meant only as a writing desk, NOT as a storage/office desk. GREAT deal. Would definitely recommend it.

I really needed a height adjustable desk for improved workflow & a less screwed-up back, but every one was super expensive (i.e. geekdesk)

When I found this one through Ameriwood I thought it was too good to be true, but I've had it for a few weeks now and it's really everything I was looking for (minus a hydraulic lift for the lazy factor.) Super glad I didn't end up dropping a G on some of those others!
